CJ Logistics America joins in recognizing and celebrating Black History Month, the annual February celebration of achievements and contributions by African Americans in the US.

African Americans and the Arts,” the 2024 theme, explores the key influence African Americans have had in the fields of “visual and performing arts, literature, fashion, folklore, language, film, music, architecture, culinary and other forms of cultural expression.” The Association for the Study of African American Life and History presents the theme as part of the month-long festival.

US presidents have officially designated the month of February as Black History Month since 1976. Also known as African American History Month, the event began as the idea of Harvard-trained historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans. The first celebration was during a week in February 1926 that included the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass.

With a vision of global community and diversity and the values of Integrity, Passion, Creativity and Respect, CJ Logistics America believes our world is better when diverse peoples and cultures come together to understand each other’s experiences and perspectives.
