Korean Lunar New Year, or Seollal, falls on Sunday, January 22, this year. Beginning on Korean New Year’s Eve, January 21, 2023, the three-day period of celebrations for Seollal is a time of celebrating with family and showing respect to ancestors.

The start of this major holiday in the lives of Koreans, in January or February, is determined by the lunar calendar — the cycles of the moon’s phases — and takes place on the first new moon of the lunisolar calendar, or the second new moon after the winter solstice.

CJ Logistics America, responsible for the North America region of CJ Logistics, a core business of CJ Group, a global conglomerate headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, will be celebrating the holiday this week.

Aligned with CJ Logistics’ global vision to maximize customer value through innovation and continuous improvement, CJ Logistics America has 80+ warehousingtransportation and freight forwarding operations across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
