As the result of a recent Creating Shared Value (CSV) initiative for Corporate and Transportation teams at company headquarters in Des Plaines, Illinois, CJ Logistics America is donating over $50,000 to UNICEF to help the many people suffering because of the war in Ukraine. The funds were raised through a GoFundMe Ukraine Relief Fund account established in response to the outpouring of support from CJ Logistics America employees, customers and partners across the country, other donations and a 2K Walk with 103 participants. CJ Logistics America matched all contributions and contributed $100 per walker.
Another recent CSV initiative, a blood drive, drew a record-setting response and a collection of 20 pints of blood for a local blood bank.
Upcoming CSV projects include an event with the non-profit organization Feed My Starving Children and a Salvation Army backpack drive and block party. In addition to the projects involving Corporate and Transportation teams, the teams at locations across the CJ Logistics America network work with schools and other organizations to provide aid in their local communities.
Believing in better practices for a better world, CJ Logistics America is committed to CSV, bringing teams together to participate in activities and programs that serve communities in meaningful ways. Connecting to the local community is at the heart of the CSV program. CJ Logistics America conducts employee volunteer activities and encourages employees to help and support their communities by participating in community outreach activities that inspire them.
