The CJ CUP, traditionally played at The Club @ Nine Bridges on Jeju Island, Korea, was moved to the US for 2020 due to health concerns and travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As part of CJ Group’s vision to support the development of professional golf in Korea, the 78-man field for the event includes the highest ranked player of Korean nationality from the Asian Tour Order of Merit, up to five players designated by the KPGA and the top-three available players of Korean nationality from the Official World Golf Ranking.
CJ Group-sponsored golfers in the tournament include Byeong-Hun An, Sungjae Im, Sung Kang, Si Woo Kim, and Kyoung-Hoon Lee. The field also includes another young golfer sponsored by CJ Group, teenager Joohyung “Tom” Kim. Kim, a self-proclaimed “golf nerd,” is making his third start of the PGA TOUR season. You can read more about Kim here.
It was announced in early 2020 that DSC Logistics, CJ Logistics USA and CJ Logistics Canada have joined together under one operating company named CJ Logistics America, LLC. The plan is to integrate Mexico operations soon as well. DSC will rebrand as CJ Logistics by 2021.
