CTO speaks to IU supply chain management students

CTO Ken Heller recently spoke to students in the supply chain management program in the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. A member of the IU Supply Chain Advisory Board and an IU graduate, Heller was asked to speak about supply chain technologies.

In his presentation, Heller talked to students about the 3PL industry and what the CJ Logistics-DSC Logistics integration means in terms of expanded capabilities and solutions. He discussed warehouse technologies from layer pick to the more complex e-commerce capabilities, and told the students about the latest robotics and automation technology DSC, now CJ Logistics America, is exploring in a series of TES (Technology, Engineering, Systems & Solutions) pilot projects – AGVs, VGVs, robotic stretch wrappers, EPTs, to name a few.

“I’m always excited to talk to students about the opportunities for them in the supply chain industry and at our company,” Heller said. “It’s an industry in which every day and every situation presents new circumstances and challenges. We are constantly learning, adapting and improving—always starting with the changing needs of our customers.”

The [logistics center] team has always gone above & beyond in ensuring our ability to service our customers comes first. The team has always far exceeded the expectations of partnership between our companies.
