DSC develops iPad app

DSC has developed a new iPad app that provides real-time visibility into employee productivity, enabling managers to address issues immediately.

The app, POPPro, gives managers information on shift metrics and details of each employee’s work from the beginning of a shift through the current task. Managers can identify employees needing attention, and meet with them on the warehouse floor for training and coaching as it is needed.

POPPro was developed by the IT and Engineering teams as part of DSC’s existing Performance Optimization Process (POP). POP addresses the key components of success in doing a job – both accountability and a fair reward system when goals are exceeded.

The app is being rolled out across the DSC network of logistics centers.
