A day to celebrate families in five Canadian provinces

It’s Family Day today, February 15, 2021, in five Canadian provinces: British Columbia, Ontario, New Brunswick, Alberta and Saskatchewan. Celebrated on the third Monday of February, the provincial holiday recognizes the importance of families and family life.

Traditionally on Family Day, with schools and most businesses closed, people plan activities involving the whole family and many communities plan special events. This year, many families have already been spending more time together than usual and special celebration options are more limited due to pandemic restrictions.

In British Columbia, CTV News reports that communities are offering free outdoor and cultural activities, many of them virtual, to entice people to stay close to home on Family Day and over the long weekend. In Ontario, while some regions in the province are reopening, a stay-at-home order in Toronto means there’s not much open in the city, according to CTV News.

On Family Day, and every day, CJ Logistics’ Canada warehouses, located in British Columbia and Ontario, provide integrated supply chain services, including e-commerce and parcel fulfillment services, to help make sure families in Canada and the US receive the goods they need.
