CJLA to mark Founder’s Day in November

At CJ Logistics America, 2020 Founder’s Day celebrations will be aligned with the CJ Logistics global Founder’s Day, November 15. This year also marks the 90th anniversary of CJ Logistics, and the upcoming formal rebrand of DSC Logistics as CJ Logistics America. Founder’s Day celebrations will take place across the network the week of November 16-20.

The Founder’s Day tradition began at DSC Logistics in 1994 with the company’s original founder, Jim McIlrath, and his successor, daughter and former CEO, Ann Drake. The event is an annual opportunity to reflect on the company’s story, recognize employee contributions and express the future vision.

Leading up to Founder’s Day celebrations will be CJ Management Philosophy (CJMP) training. The CJMP and its OnlyOne core values and principles of Integrity, Passion, Creativity and Respect speak to the potential of individuals to positively impact teams, customers and communities.

This is the company’s first Founder’s Day officially as CJ Logistics America and it will be fully rebranding as CJ Logistics in 2021. “We have a great appreciation for our history as DSC Logistics, and our integration journey these past two years,” said CEO, Ed Bowersox. “We are very excited to be one company, one team — with one great future ahead of us. Of course, through all of this growing and learning and change, we’re also continuing to do our essential work and cope with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on our lives. It’s a time to celebrate our accomplishments; it’s also a time to stay safe and strong, and to maintain our commitment to each other and to our customers.”
