The Tippie Women Summit, sponsored by the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, featured Ann Drake, founder of AWESOME and CEO of DSC Logistics, as keynote speaker. An article in the Cedar Rapids Gazette, covered highlights of her talk.
The theme of the Summit was “Be a Change Agent.” Ann and other business professionals representing a variety of industries spoke to attendees about influencing positive change in an organization and about developing personal power as a change maker and leader.
Ann returned to her undergrad alma mater for the Summit to encourage students at the UI Tippie College of Business to have confidence in themselves despite obstacles they may face. She shared her personal journey and explained that her participation in women’s networks helped to inspire her along the way.
The event was coordinated by the Tippie College of Business in conjunction with Women in Business and the Tippie chapter of NAWMBA.
