Laura Adams, Senior Director, Supply Chain Solutions at DSC Logistics, joined a panel of industry leaders to discuss cost-to-serve at the CSCMP Chicago Roundtable members-only event, May 21.
“Customer requirements such as order size, special labeling, lead time and service continue to evolve on both the warehouse and the transportation side,” Adams said in discussing DSC’s approach. “Having the right systems, tools and processes in place allows an invaluable data-driven approach to helping make insightful decisions around those impacts.”
The other panelists discussing how they’ve tackled the complexities of getting to customer-level margin data included Matt Garfield, Independent SC Consultant; Richard Sharpe, CEO, Competitive Insights; and John Weck, CFO, Liberty Advisor Group. Laura Brizgis, Senior Manager, West Monroe Partners, served as moderator.
The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) is a global supply chain management industry association. Roundtables are CSCMP’s local chapters, run by a volunteer network of CSCMP members.
