CJ Logistics America is expanding its temperature-controlled warehousing footprint and capabilities, starting with the launch of a 206,000 sq ft warehouse in Nashville, TN, serving the Southeast market.

The Nashville facility, due to open in early 2024, will have multiple temperature zones, refrigerator to freezer, customized to meet customer needs. The building’s location on the I-40 corridor, near the Nashville International Airport, provides access to anywhere in the Nashville market, offering a solution for users with last-mile, local and southeast regional cold storage needs.

In making this strategic move, with expansion into other markets to follow, CJ Logistics America is responding to the high demand in the market due to a variety of factors. Consumer behavior is changing with increased consumption of frozen food while retailers are requiring lower volume, more frequent and/or faster delivery. Some companies, particularly smaller ones, have seen service decline, largely due to labor issues and a focus on larger customers. Companies are dealing with capacity constraints, aging facilities and outdated technology in the temperature-controlled sector.

With new, state-of-the art facilities and service-focused operations teams, CJ Logistics will have the space and technology, experience and expertise to address these issues. CJ Logistics also provides transportation services and trailers for transporting frozen, chilled or temperature-controlled commodities, in Less-than-Truckload (LTL) or Full Truckload (FTL) shipments.
