As CJ Logistics employees continue to embrace community outreach, the teams at the company’s locations in North Carolina – Rural Hall, Kernersville, Greensboro and Winston-Salem – have partnered with Rural Hall Elementary School to provide support when needs arise. In December, the CJ teams delivered the clothing, shoes and food to stock the food pantry that were the greatest needs for the month.
Thanking the CJ teams for their donations of clothing and food, School Counselor Patti Durham said that Rural Hall Elementary is a Title 1 school, meaning that 50% or more of the students receive free and reduced lunches. Each week the school provides 114 food bags to students.
For this ongoing project, CJ teams will continue to collect food and clothing items, with monthly collection drop-offs. “All of the teams are excited to be part of such a wonderful project and to be able to make a huge difference in a child’s life,” CJ Senior HR Manager Angela Goodson said.
“They are proud of their efforts to provide support for the school and to be involved in the community.”
