DSC, IKEA host tour of Minooka facility for CSCMP

DSC Logistics and IKEA will host a tour of IKEA’s first inland North American Distribution Center in Minooka, Illinois, October 12. The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Chicago Roundtable is presenting the tour. Registration has reached capacity and is now closed.

Partnering with DSC to manage and operate the 850,000 square foot facility, IKEA opened the Minooka Distribution Center in February 2015. The Minooka operation was initially designed to support IKEA’s growing Store Delivery business in the Midwest and in February 2016 was expanded to include fulfillment for the Customer Distribution network, shipping product directly to a consumer’s home or to a Local Service Center for final delivery.

The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) is an organization with a mission to lead the evolving supply chain management profession by developing, advancing, and disseminating supply chain knowledge and research. www.cscmp.org
