In his first Masters Tournament appearance, 22-year-old Sungjae Im tied for second, finishing at 15 under par, his 273 the lowest score ever in a Masters debut. Winner Dustin Johnson finished at a record-breaking 20-under 268.
Im was Rookie of the Year for the 2018–19 PGA Tour, and recorded his first PGA Tour victory at The Honda Classic in March 2020. He is one of the young South Korean golfers sponsored by CJ Group.
CJ Group also sponsors Sung Kang who finished the Masters Tournament at 3 under, tied for 29, and Si Woo Kim, finishing at 2 under, tied for 34 with early favorite Bryson DeChambeau.
