SI Woo Kim won the 2023 Sony Open held at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, Hawaii, this weekend. Trailing by three strokes at the start of the final day, Kim birdied the first three holes and closed with a 6-under 64 final round. He finished at 18 under, one stroke ahead of Hayden Buckley.
The win is Kim’s fourth PGA TOUR title, the most recent being The American Express in 2021. He also recorded victories at the 2016 Wyndham Championship and 2017 PLAYERS Championship.
Kim is one of the group of CJ Logistics affiliated golfers that also includes Sungjae Im (winner of The Honda Classic 2020 and Shriners Children’s Open 2021), Tom Kim (winner of the Wyndham Championship 2022), K.H Lee (2021 and 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson winner), and Byeong Hun An (2022-23 PGA TOUR member).
