In the spirit of Creating Shared Value (CSV), the community service value at the core of CJ Logistics culture, the company’s Corporate and Transportation Center teams donated goods for the Elk Grove Township Food Pantry in Elk Grove Village. The donations collected during October and November were delivered to the food pantry the week of Thanksgiving.
The donations were collected in memory of Breanna Keenley, daughter of Kelli Keenley, a CJ Logistics employee. The Elk Grove Township Board voted to name the Food Pantry in honor of Breanna in recognition of her lifetime of commitment to service.
Previously, the CJ Logistics teams collected donations for The Self-Help Closet & Pantry of Des Plaines, a non-profit organization supporting those in need in the community.
At another CJ Logistics location in Carlisle, PA, the warehouse team adopted two families for Thanksgiving, providing all the ingredients for their holiday meal, and is also adopting 20 Angels to sponsor for Christmas. The Carlisle team’s projects are in partnership with The Salvation Army.
