THE CJ CUP to return to Korea in 2021

CJ Logistics America, formerly DSC Logistics, hosted customers for a VIP experience during THE CJ CUP @ SHADOW CREEK this past weekend. The PGA TOUR event in Las Vegas, October 15-18, was won by Jason Kokrak who finished at 20-under. The highest finisher among the golfers sponsored by CJ Group was Si Woo Kim at 7-under and a tie for 17.

In 2021, THE CJ CUP will return to Korea, at Haesley Nine Bridges near Seoul, giving CJ Group the opportunity to further support the growth of golf in Korea. “Next year, we will do our best to promote the Republic of Korea to the world once again in the metropolitan area and further raise the stature of THE CJ CUP,” Ethan Kim, Sports Marketing Director, CJ Group, said in an announcement.

With Haesley Nine Bridges located only an hour from Seoul, CJ Group anticipates increased attendance accompanied by greater economic impact once policies are in place to allow local and international sports fans to safely return in person.

THE CJ CUP, Korea’s only PGA TOUR event, was played at The Club @ Nine Bridges on Jeju Island, Korea, from 2017-2019.

CJ Group sponsors a number of young PGA TOUR golfers, including Byeong-Hun An, Sungjae Im, Sung Kang, Si Woo Kim, Kyoung-Hoon Lee and Joohyung Kim.

DSC Logistics, CJ Logistics USA and CJ Logistics Canada have joined together under one operating company named CJ Logistics America, LLC. The plan is to integrate Mexico operations soon as well. DSC will rebrand as CJ Logistics by 2021.
