DSC Advisory Board Chairman Ann Drake received the Supply Chain Recognition Award at the North American Supply Chain Executive Summit in Chicago, September 10.
Ann was selected for the award, “recognizing someone whose personal and professional journey can serve as an example to others,” based on her tenure as CEO of DSC Logistics from 1994 through 2018, her contributions as a supply chain industry leader, and her work to advance women’s leadership.
In accepting the award, Drake spoke about the honor of representing the “generations of women before me who have worked hard and accomplished much – but not been recognized – – by their peers, their bosses, their companies and their industries.”
“My hope is that we all will join forces and raise awareness and build relationships that will honor these women,” she said. “And that the world will be better for it.”
The North American Supply Chain Executive Summit brings together industry experts, service and solution providers, and media partners to network and share solutions to the challenges faced by supply chain management professionals.
