CEO Ann Drake will participate in the Kellogg Global Women’s Summit 2018, at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, May 8-9. The event’s featured speaker will be Sherry Lansing, former CEO of Paramount Pictures.
Ann, a lead investor in scholarships for Kellogg women, will join Sheli Rosenberg, co-founder of the Kellogg Center for Executive Women, and Ellen Kullman and Edith Cooper, two of the Global Women Summit co-chairs, and Dr. Victoria Medvec, the co-founder of KCEW and faculty co-chair for the Summit, for the session, “Kellogg’s Investment in Women.” They will discuss their goals for the Summit, their vision of the role Kellogg can play in advancing women in the future, and why they are committed to Kellogg’s investment in women.
In the session on “Building Relationships with Intention and Value,” Ann and other Kellogg alumni across industries will discuss how Investing in relationships throughout a career, and expanding networks as responsibilities increase, is an important support pillar for bigger career moves and broader perspective sharing. They will talk about what women need at each stage of their careers, how to go about making that happen, how to best set expectations and optimize relationships.
Ann speaks from the perspective of building relationships throughout her career, from a childhood connection with Hillary Clinton to founding the women’s leadership organization AWESOME (Achieving Women’s Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management and Education) and being a charter member of Paradigm for Parity, a coalition of business leaders working for gender parity.
