DSC Logistics CEO Ann Drake and CIO Kevin Glynn will participate in the 2018 AWESOME Symposium in Orlando, Florida, May 9-10. AWESOME (Achieving Women’s Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management and Education), a network of more than 1,000 senior-level supply chain leaders, was founded by Ann in 2013.
In an “Up-Close Conversation on May 10, Ann will talk about her leadership journey and how she was inspired by women in her network, how she sees women advancing in the supply chain field and beyond, and how AWESOME leaders can build momentum and impact the future of supply chain leadership. She will be interviewed by Cheryl Harbour, Chief Communications Advisor for AWESOME.
Also on May 10, Kevin will share insights about DSC’s efforts in advancing women in leadership roles and engaging men as advocates of that advancement as he joins other panelists in a discussion following a presentation by Jeffery Tobias Halter, author of Why Women – The Leadership Imperative to Advancing Women and Engaging Men. The presentation will include ideas on operationalizing a company’s business case for women in the marketplace and workplace, creating an integrated women’s leadership strategy with scorecards and measures to drive organizational accountability, and engaging male champions as advocates and sponsors for women’s leadership advancement.
The annual Symposium, an invitation-only event for members of the AWESOME network, brings together thought leaders and executives with experience in diverse leadership roles who want to have a greater impact on their organization, company and community. In “The Year to Make a Difference,” the 2018 event will focus on how leaders are making a difference and what more can be done.
